Nicola Nelson

Nicola Nelson is an education leader with 31 years’ experience across secondary and primary settings. She has held senior leadership roles in the UK and internationally, including Director of Sixth Form and CEO of a multi-academy trust.

Since 2019, Nicola has been Head of Primary at Garden International School in Kuala Lumpur.

A qualified coach and Network Lead for WomenEd Malaysia, Nicola is passionate about supporting women in leadership. Shaped by her experience as a single parent in her early leadership career, she is interested in the challenges of balancing career progression with family life, and believes leadership is never one size fits all. She brings both professional insight and personal understanding to conversations about resilience, ambition, and sustainable leadership.
